Do you have a display board you are proud of?  Send them to me at Bethany@sciencefairgirl.com with your name, grade, and state, and I'll post it here for all to see!

My Projects

See the examples of display boards and display set-ups below.  Click the picture for a larger view.

Display Board from 6th Grade Project

"It's All Downhill from Here"
My 6th grade project. The board is very simple; there isn't too much information on it. There are equations on the back panel, and the hidden panel contains a history of the roller coaster.

Display Board for 7th grade Project

"G-Wiz! The Science Behind the Fun"
My 7th grade project. This is a good example of a header. The flags add interest and height to the project.

Display Board from 8th Grade Project

"Do we All Fall Up?"
My 8th grade project. This poster has a lot of information but it is still interesting and eye-catching. Also, having the tower, not only adds height and interest, but helps with the judging.

Me with Junior Year Display Board

Me with my Junior Year Project
This is a picture of my Junior year set-up. I'm dressed in professional clothing, but made sure to still keep my outfit youthful. Don't assume that a full business suit will get you points. If you are young looking it might, but if you look older than you are, make sure to remind the judges subtly of your true age.

Display Board for Junior Year

Close up of my Junior year Board
Look closely at my papers, logbook, and roller coaster in front of my board. Don't make the mistake of thinking that the board is all you have to worry about; arrange your logbook attractively in front of your board. You might even consider using a colored tablecloth to mark off your area--this also keeps your neighbor from spreading into your territory.

A Display Board from a High School Fair

Yet another example from my school
I like this board; the red board draws your eye but is not over-powering. This is also a good example of flip sheets. It might not be completely clear in this picture, but the white sheets on the side panels lift to display more information. You need to be careful with flip sheets however, don't overdo it, and always be sure to add tabs so that it is easy to lift the pages.

Another High School Board Example

Last example from my school, I promise
I think this is a good example of having fun with a board but not going over-board. The title panel is bright and eye-catching, but the rest of the board is fairly traditional with its straight lines and even, rectangular mats.
